l'or bleu house
The driving concept of L’Or Bleu House is to incorporate experience and tradition as a form of sensory communication to evoke an experience that is inherently connected to the movement towards gender equality. The architecture appeals to basic instincts and senses through sophisticated manipulation of natural light, intensely tactile materials, and nurturing forms. Inspired by intrinsic characteristics of the vernacular architecture of the area, the project will be built by the local community. L’Or Bleu House will become an iconic example of the power of community participation and ultimately represent the identity of Baghere, Senegal.

"Dragon Passage"
A treehouse park inspired by a self-composed mythical tale that depicts the current precarious relationship between humankind and nature. The tale's protagonist, an overly-ambitious dragon who disregards the consequences of his ambition on his homeland, inspires the project's architectural character, planning, and language on various levels.

etherea
Etherea is a redevelopment project of an island in the Charante River, France, home to medieval castle ruins. With a unique heritage, changing landscape, and fragile biodiversity to consider, Etherea aims to integrate a new community of visitors and the existing community of Vibrac with appropriate architectural interventions, with permaculture at the heart.
Vibrac, France, 2021, collaboration with Adrian Rivera, Angie Aguilera, Emma Amidei and Mariana Serra for Dartangans with YACademy

mirador
The Mirador reestablishes the place of the destroyed Santo Ignácio do Zavial Fortress in Portugal. It provides a walk through time by reclaiming the detached headland as well as respectfully reviving the memory of the Fortress. Through reconnecting this site to the mainland, the Mirador evokes moments of powerful sensorial stimulation; culminating in a timeless stronghold to contemplate what is lost, what is learned, and what is precious.
Southwest Alentejo, Portugal, 2020, collaboration with Marcus Cope-Williams for ArkxSite Mirador Competition
The dome at 11.5525N, 162,3472E intends to memorialise global nuclear tragedies at the site of a 115m diameter crater created by US forces in 1958. The crater at Enewetak Atoll represents the ramifications of nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands which are still present today both environmentally and socially. The architecture takes visitors along an inclined trajectory through an enormous dome, ultimately concluding in a moment to reflect and discover yet a another crater in the reef below. The dome's interior is congested with hanging posts which are each inscribed with a coordinate of another testing site across the globe.

instance
(with AMDL Circle)
Designed in collaboration with iconic Italian firm AMDL Circle, this façade design is for the unveiling of Silk FAW's revolutionary 2021 hypercar at Milan Design Week 2021. Inspired by Walter De Silva’s design process (designer of the S9) and passion to capture the essence of beauty, we examined nature's naturally occurring processes; in particular, the wind.
Nature’s processes can teach us much about the essence of beauty. Everything leading to the occasion of Fuorisalone 21 can be perceived as a result of these processes. Wind, as an example, sculpts, manipulates and shapes beauty through landscapes.
Instance captures a single, beautiful instance of the wind, placing emphasis on this specific moment in time where the past is meeting the future.
In collaboration with AMDL Circle, YACademy, Silk FAW, designed with Adrian Rivera and Gregorio Di Muzio for Fuorisalone 2021 - Milan Design Week

shala cork, yoga house
carbon negative | off the grid | passive design
Shala Cork epitomises architecture that has an overwhelmingly positive effect on its world without compromise. Built from renewable materials which offset carbon emissions, Shala Cork would truly combat climate change which will allow it to exist in spiritual harmony with the world. The raised structure subtly alludes to Japanese zen architecture ideas, conceiving a space of strong spiritual connection where to practice yoga. Methods are also borrowed from the Asian concept of Feng Shui to accommodate an ideal flow of energy (qi) for this spiritual shala.
Amieira, Portugal, 2020, Bee Breeder's House on a Cliff Competition for Vale de Moses Yoga Retreat

Shala Cork is nestled into the fragile surroundings of Vale de Moses Yoga Retreat in Amieira, Portugal. It is proposed as an off the grid extension to the world-renowned refuge, facilitating classes of specialised yoga for up to 40 people.
All materials are either completely recyclable or biodegradable; using only untreated metals or plant-based elements (cork, Hinoki, and CLT). The construction method is unsophisticated resulting in a minimal footprint by focusing on the craftsmanship of both on-site joining and prefabrication. Shala Cork embraces methods of passive architecture, harnessing natural forces of ventilation and gravity to operate symbiotically in its surrounding.

greenhouse clinic +
Greenhouse Clinic + reimagines the methadone clinic; primarily seeking to dispel prejudice surrounding opioid use disorder (OUD) and methadone treatment, whilst reconceptualising treatment for patients with OUD. A cafe is incorporated to invite the general public to share the space and become accustomed to OUD through exposure to the clinic and its patients. Vegetation is a central element to the project, with the plants rooted in both the healing process of patients and the tranquil atmosphere. Ideally, the clinic will eventually transform into a community garden continued to be used by reformed patients from the clinic.
Venice CA, USA, 2020, Collaboration with Marcus Cope-Williams for Combo Competitions' Emotions, Opioids, Architecture Competition
The clinic’s flowing forms and open-plan layout contribute towards a calming and healing experience as the patients undergo open-air treatment and consultations. Whilst private, a visual and audible connection to the cafe below conditions the patients to feel their treatment can and should be considered commonplace.

Phenomenological Equivalence in Consumption Spaces: Investigation of Consumption Experiences Through a Phenomenological Lens
2018
The research question for this dissertation surrounds a phenomenological investigation into consumption spaces. The intent will be to query the notion that phenomenological equivalence may be perceived in seemingly unrelated typologies of consumption space. Such discoveries will bring light to the idea that consumption can be seen as an analogous behaviour that is better understood through the realms of phenomenology.
Architectural Identity Research Paper: A Critical Perspective on Naturalism
2017
Architectural identity has emerged as a principal metaphor in the discourse of architecture as symbolic functions of space are drawn similar to that of personal and social identities. Primary demonstrations of architectural identity divide into design aspects that are best translated through philosophical theories of spatial experience. Through a dynamic investigation into both philosophical and literary understandings of naturalism, notions surrounding identity will be revealed. It can then be determined that a naturalistic approach to architectural design is spatially experienced as an inherent embodied relationship to a space’s natural place of belonging.
